At Practitioner Level we will first go through some of the Diploma topics to explore them in more depth. NLP practitioner certification is a comprehensive and advanced level of training in NLP. It goes beyond the foundational level and delves deeper into the techniques, methodologies, and applications of NLP. A practitioner course typically covers a wide range of topics such as advanced language patterns, modeling excellence, belief change techniques, advanced NLP interventions, and therapeutic applications of NLP. The focus is on developing practical skills and competence in using NLP techniques effectively on ourselves and others.

Prime directives of the unconscious mind

Our unconscious mind is the basis for everything that we learn, it is the basis for all we have learned, all that we do, and how we behave and change. The unconscious mind is also the place where all of our memories are stored. Our unconscious mind has a number of prime directives that make up the framework of how we function on a daily basis.

Neurological Levels

This framework helps us to look at and think about change in learning and personal development in a structured way. The neurological levels have 6 levels, and an individual can be operating at any one of these six levels at any given time. If there is a part of your life that you want to change and you are not sure where to start, this framework can help to identify where and how an intervention needs to be made to ensure it is effective and will achieve its aim.

Submodalities

Submodalities are the fine distinctions within each representational system. They change the way we think about something in remarkable ways. By understanding that we can change our submodalities around a situation, we then know that we can program ourselves to be successful. You will understand and practice different techniques related to changing submodalities like:

Linguistic Presuppositions

Linguistic presuppositions are a set of underlying assumptions or beliefs embedded within the language used in NLP. These presuppositions are not necessarily true in an objective sense, but they serve as useful assumptions that can shape our perception and behavior.

Eye Patterns

NLP eye patterns suggest there is a correlation between eye movements and specific cognitive processes. According to NLP, eye movements can provide insights into how individuals process information, access different sensory modalities, and potentially indicate underlying thoughts or mental strategies.

Anchoring Techniques

At the Diploma level, you learned the basic anchoring technique. At the Practitioner Level, you will explore and practice more anchoring techniques like stacking, chaining, collapsing anchors, and circle of excellence.

Metaphors

Metaphors are an excellent communication method as they appear far less threatening than receiving direct advice from someone. This is because the message we want to put across is embedded within the metaphor and is not always easily recognizable on a conscious level.

Frames

In NLP, a frame refers to the way in which a situation or communication is structured or perceived. Frames help shape our understanding, interpretations, and responses to the world around us. You will learn about different NLP frames like outcome frames, discovery frames, as-if frames, and much more.

Strategies

NLP strategies refer to specific sequences of thoughts, behaviors, and sensory representations that individuals use to achieve desired outcomes or perform specific tasks. These strategies can be conscious or unconscious and are often employed to replicate successful behaviors or achieve specific results.

Perceptual Positions

Perceptual positions refer to different perspectives or viewpoints from which individuals can observe and experience a situation. By consciously shifting between these positions, individuals can gain insights, empathy, and new understandings of the situation and the people involved. You will learn about the first, second, and third perceptual positions.

Language Patterns

In NLP, various language patterns are utilized to enhance communication. You will learn about:

Parts Integration

Parts Integration is a technique that is used to help resolve internal conflict by finding areas that the parts that are in conflict agree on. This is a process used to help the person negotiate with themselves to get the outcome they want and to resolve the inner conflict.

Timeline

The concept of a timeline refers to the mental representation of the past, present, and future events in an individual’s mind. It is a way to organize and structure our experiences in relation to time. You will understand the difference between in-time and through-time, how to elicit a timeline, and how to release negative emotions.
